Biography

Kevin Hern has served as a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives since November 2018. In December 2020, Hern was one of 126 Republican members of the House of Representatives to sign an amicus brief in support of Texas v. Pennsylvania, a lawsuit filed at the United States Supreme Court contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election, in which Joe Biden prevailed over incumbent Donald Trump.

Representative Hern is a hardline conservative who believes in securing the border. He has voted to fund the border wall (H.R.695). He has also cosponsored the No Funding for Sanctuary Campuses Act (H.R.768) to stop public funding for colleges that do not follow federal immigration law.

Representative Hern is Pro-Life and has cosponsored the Defund Planned Parenthood Act (HR 369), No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act (HR 20), Life at Conception Act (HR616), and Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R.962).
