Biography

In 2022, Brecheen ran for Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district and has been in office since. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 6th district in the Oklahoma Senate from 2010 to 2018. In June 2023, Brecheen introduced the Patriotism Not Pride Act, which, if passed, would bar the use of federal funds for Pride Month events and ban federal agencies from displaying the Pride flag.

As a former Oklahoma State Senator, this candidate has a proven record of standing strong against tax increases, debt, and wasteful spending. He led the successful fight against Common Core in Oklahoma schools, prioritizing educational standards that reflect local values. Committed to principle over politics, he is self-term limited, keeping his pledge to prioritize public service over careerism.
